Vernon

Well today, the car played a role in our activity (or lack thereof) today, as it still had a couple outstanding issues that hadn't been dealt with. Nothing that would severely impact our continued travels (air, sound system and nav), but given Vernon has a Hyundai dealership, using the opportunity to have warranty work done seemed to make sense.

So we decide to stroll the city centre and check out the business district wall murals the travel guide had suggested.

The murals in the photos below are adjacent to the towns' cenotaph and obviously depict scenes relating to the wars.

But, the murals in this town disappoint compared to those we had seen a couple of years back, in the town of Chemainus on Vancouver Island. So just a couple photos today and by the time the car is ready, there is little of the day left for other adventures.

So.... A little wine and cheese back at the house seems the best use of our time on this day. 

After all, we are in wine country.

Oh ya... the dealership couldn't get the nav and sound system working today and we aren't going to spend any more of our time waiting for parts and repair. So we'll have to do sing songs for music along our journey and use google maps voice commands on our smart phones for guidance (which works very well, by the way).

"OK Google. Guide me to the nearest BC Liquors outlet. We're running out of wine".
