It's all beautiful but specifically Hwy 93 between Jasper and Lake Louise, a 230 klm stretch called the "Icefields Parkway", is just awe inspiring.
There are those who say it should be travelled in both directions to experience all the amazing vistas mother nature has provided.
Well, Cam and I did just that today. Needless to say we were on a mission spending close to 10 hours on the road. So the photos are few and taken through the windows of a vehicle moving at 90 kph.
I've already posted a few pics from the southward drive, so the next few give a taste of the view as you travel north.

Cam liked the view heading north better, but I just couldn't decide! Like I said before, this is a drive everyone should experience once. Either direction will not disappoint.

Meanwhile, the ladies did a little exploring in Canmore today, on foot.
Here are just a couple photos from their expedition.
This sculpture is called "Big Head", which is a translation of the Gaelic word Ceanmore, a variation of the town's name. It apparently created quite a stir amongst the town's residents who were not very happy about the $40,000 cost for the "Made in China" sculpture.
An historic "North West Mounted Police" barracks in Canmore. That was the western police force that in 1920, merged with the Dominion Police to become the RCMP.
